I fail to sleep till late nights,

Adds to my irritation the sounds of wagons on railway carrying mineral deposits, whole nights,

In the broad day light, I see naked population in villages, towns and cities,

No, we are heading towards five trillion dollar economy, government chimes,

Adani, Ambani, Tata names are thine,

It's our voted leaders' formulated policy, it's not thine,

Five trilion dolar economy with Tatas, Adanies, Ambanies,

Will they give dollars in the accounts of displaced, due to mines.

Can't they adopt villages and cities,

Let the naked be enrolled not in bank and government subsidies, 

Let they be tied in joint accounts with Tatas, Birlas, Ambanies and Adanies.

'Per capita income' is a fallacy, just a development jargon,

If food, shelter, clothes, education and health doesn't match with their children, wives, bedrooms and spoons of nutrition. 

History inspiring guns, votes, media but sliping out from hands of distressed and trembling,

Because, the distressed through politics and policies are in the ends of line of receiving.

I am not sleeping inspite of sleeping pills, 

History says, guns, votes, media is sleeping without sleeping pills.
